Welcome to Callachuchi Homestay

Callachuchi Homestay is a unique opportunity to be seaside in a small fishing village on Siquijor Island in the Philippines.  Our home has a 30 square meter guest quarters which includes a king bed, air conditioning, flat screen tv, desk, private koi pond and waterfall, and a private roof deck with views of the ocean, sunrise and sunset.  We have a swimming pool and deck and direct access to the rock beach and ocean.  Several caves and tide pools are available for exploring along the oceanside.  Since we live on the edge of the ocean, you are welcome to walk out of your room and go snorkeling to visit the coral and sea creatures, including foraging sea turtles.  

Our home is in a quiet area of the countryside so simply relaxing and soaking up the sun or stars and listening to the crickets and waves can be a regular past time.  We can also introduce you to our local filipino neighbors and a taste of rural filipino living.  Our family has a penchant for karaoke and zumba dancing if you care to join.  Within the compound we have a bevy of rabbits wandering the grounds and a couple of cats.    

 On the highway within a half of a kilometer walking distance are local filipino stores and eateries.  The municipality of San Juan with its greater tourist offerings of restaurants and bars and clubs is a couple of kilometers away.  You reach our home by walking or riding a motorbike down a 150 kilometer path to our gated compound.
